Isaiah Yonah Back-Gaal
Isaiah Yonah Back-Gaal is an organizer and drag queen. Their poetry has been published in Copper Nickel, swamp pink, 14 Poems, Puerto del Sol, and other journals and magazines. They received an MFA in Poetry from The Ohio State University where they were managing editor of The Journal and were awarded a Freedom Dreams and Abolition Fellowship. Isaiah was a 2026 Finalist for the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship.
